Consistent velocities, clean burning.
Clean, reliable, a bit slow on the velocity side in an HK USP, averaging 916fps on a pro chrono at 5 feet, muzzle energy of 335ftlbs. But spread was only 12fps from low of 908 to high of 920fps, and standard deviation a remarkable 4fps in the box I had. Outstanding consistency. In a Beretta CRX carbine, the longer barrel only added 129fps, with a low of 1014, a high of 1070, for a spread of 56 fps and standard deviation of 20. The shorter case and powder volume won’t benefit as much from the longer tube using this heavy a bullet. The Federal American Eagle 165gr is much superior for a carbine load, delivering 1089fps and 435ftlbs energy in the pistol, but 1350fps in the carbine, with 668ftlbs of energy.

Quality Ammo for the Range.
Federal American Eagle brand ammo is as good as any other when it comes to quality range ammo. My Glock 22 goes through this ammo with absolutely no problems. I have shot several hundred rounds of the .40 cal and not a single FTF or FTE. It can’t get any better than a 100% success rate when the trigger is squeezed.

Good deal.
I shot these out of my Baby eagle .40 and had no issues even after putting 100 rounds through my filthy pistol (I’m bad at cleaning up after my shooting days), they fired great. I can’t vouch for their accuracy since I am not the best pistol shooter in the world, but for the price I could afford to buy more so as to improve my lackluster shooting skills.

Excellent ammo!!
I used this for a handgun class. We shot about 550 rounds and never had a hiccup. Also did the “one ragged hole” exercise at five yards and this ammo came thru twice out of four times (I didn’t do MY part the other two times!!!). Definitely great ammo at a great price.
